Lessons from the Life of Nicodemus
Lesson 1: Who is Nicodemus? What is Born-again?
Jesus teaches heavenly things that not all can understand. That’s why when He encountered Nicodemus, His initial statement was “to be born again”. It means to be born of water (repentance from sins) and be born of the Spirit (a change of heart) for without these things an earthly person is limited to understand only earthly things as He said.
Lesson 2: Nicodemus, The Secret Follower
Maybe you’re following Christ but afraid of others knowing it just like Nicodemus. Well in the end, you must make a stand if you are really on God’s side or not. You must choose between the approval of God or of men. That’s because Nicodemus took a stand for Jesus in the end in spite of what others may think or say. After all, keeping the faith until the end is what matters to God.
Lesson 3: Nicodemus’s Three Questions
Having been accepted into the kingdom God, we need to fully understand the answers of The Lord Jesus to Nicodemus’s three questions.
Lesson 4: HOW and WHY JESUS ANSWERED NICODEMUS THAT WAY
… that the students may understand why Jesus told Nicodemus that he must be born again.
Lesson 5: Born of Water and of Spirit
Through the meeting of Nicodemus with Jesus the students must recognize and remember: a. that turning away from God by continuous disobedience -worshipping idols and rebellion will cause spiritual death b. thatit is only by God’s Word through the working of the Holy Spirit shall a man become alive and be qualified to enter God’s kingdom.
